Melee Weapons: Type-1 Energy Weapon/Sword: The Type-1 Energy Weapon/Sword, commonly known as the Energy Sword, is a close quarters weapon of the Seperatists exclusively used by the Sangheili. The Type-1 Energy Weapon/Sword consists of a curved hilt, which houses an energy storage and generation device, as well as the blade projector; that forms a blade of superheated plasma, stabilized by two small magnetic field generators built into the handle of the weapon — this forms and contains the oval shaped, ionized blades for which the weapon is recognized. The weapon is powered by a small battery that supplies power to the plasma generation device and magnetic field generators which generate and contain the plasma needed to form the blade. The battery's energy is reduced for each successful strike. Each strike from the sword will drain the battery by 10% of its maximum energy output. Once the battery power is fully depleted, the sword will deactivate unless recharged.
Energy stave: The Energy Stave is a Covenant melee weapon. It is used exclusively by the Light of Sanghelios. It is a long metal staff, and has a forked tip with a series of orange panels. These weapons are long staves with a spear-like end that is similar in color to the "glowing armor panels" of their wielders. Not much is known about these exotic weapons, except that they have a length of 527 centimeters (17.3 feet). They do not seem to have much of a combat purpose but more a ceremonial one, as the Honor Guard Elites will use Plasma Rifle, Energy Sword, and Covenant Carbines in real combat.
Energy garrote: The Energy Garrote is a small two-piece cylinder that splits apart in the middle causing a green arc to form between the pieces. This weapon is commonly used to choke and burn an enemy quietly from behind. It is used mostly by Special Ops Elites.
Curveblade: The Curveblade is a Sangheili melee weapon resembling a steel single-bladed energy sword. This weapon was often used as a hunting knife and for personal defense, becoming the standard in those roles before the formation of the Covenant, though it continued to be used thousands of years later.
Energy Dagger: The Energy dagger is an energy melee weapon employed by the Sangheili. The design bears resemblance to the energy sword. Unlike the energy sword, however, it ends in a single point rather than in dual prongs. It is mounted to a device worn on the wrists of the user.

Rifles and carbines: Type-25 Directed Energy Rifle: The Type-25 Directed Energy Rifle, more commonly known as the Plasma Rifle, is a Covenant infantry weapon. The Plasma Rifle is a Covenant directed energy weapon reverse engineered from forerunner technology that uses a superheated ionized gas called Plasma instead of projectile ammunition. The weapon has a power output of 100-150 KV @ 2~3 dA, and can fire 360~540 rounds per minute. Unlike the Plasma Pistol, the plasma rifle is capable of semi-automatic and full automatic fire; this is thanks in part to its dual plasma collimator design. Placed atop one another, these collimators fire in a "stagger" taking the slow automatic fire of each individual collimator and combining it, this design allows a faster rate of fire and more rounds per second, which adds to the lethality of the weapon. Taking fire from the Type-25 DER can cause severe second, third, and in some cases, fourth-degree burns (a fourth-degree burn completely burns away all flesh, leaving only bone tissue). Product Info: - Manufacturer: Covenant
- Model: Type-25 Directed Energy Rifle
- Type: Rifle
Technical Specifications: - Size: Handheld, Single Handed.
- Magazine Size: 400 shots
- Fire Mode: Semi-Automatic, Automatic
- Ammunition Superheated Plasma
- Operation: All Purpose
- Rate of Fire: High, 360~540 shots/min
- Range: Short to Medium Range
Type-51 Directed Energy Rifle/Improved: The Type-51 Directed Energy Rifle/Improved (T51 DER/I), more commonly known as a Plasma Repeater, is a plasma-based Directed Energy Weapon. The weapon's rate of fire will slow as it is fired and the weapon heats up. This can be solved by manually venting the rifle with the reload button, which can be done all at once or gradually. However, as the weapon overheats and the rate of fire slows, the accuracy of the weapon will increase. Product Info: - Manufacturer: Covenant
- Model: Type-51
- Type: Directed Energy Rifle/Improved
Technical Specifications: - Size: Two handed.
- Magazine Size: 100 battery units
- Fire Mode: Fully-Automatic
- Ammunition Superheated Plasma
- Rate of Fire: Moderate-fast to very slow (overheating)
- Range: Short to Medium Range
Type-33 Guided Munitions Launcher: The Type-33 Guided Munitions Launcher, more commonly known as the Needler, is a Covenant infantry weapon. The Needler is a Covenant projectile weapon that fires long, sharp crystalline shards that are guided until they impale a target — hence the “needler” moniker. Several seconds after coming to rest in their target, the needles detonate, creating severe and in most cases fatal wounds. The needler's top plate has 14 holes, with the needles protruding out of the holes. When the trigger is pulled, the needle is fed from the top into the "barrel" of the weapon, and fired at high speed. The Type-33 GML is used by Covenant foot soldiers of nearly all types. Product Info: - Manufacturer: Covenant
- Model: Type-33 Guided Munitions Launcher
- Type: Munitions Launcher
Technical Specifications: - Size: Hand held
- Magazine Size: 19 needles
- Fire Mode: Automatic
- Ammunition: Crystalline Explosive Projectiles
- Rate of Fire: 8.5 rnds/sec
- Range: Short-Medium Range
Type-51 Carbine: The Type-51 Carbine is a Covenant recoil-operated and charger-fed, semi-automatic weapon. The Type-51 Carbine serves as the Covenant's medium to long-range weapon and fires a 8mm caseless radioactive projectile. The weapon's design is very basic, with unique differences. The first is its magazine placement, which is located right above the trigger guard - the weapon's cylindrical magazine holds 18 rounds, and also provides indication of number of rounds left in the magazine, using holographic display. The back end of the weapon contains two circular openings, the forward one is the weapon's hand guard and the area in front of it is where the weapon's trigger is located. On the weapon's top rail is the magazine well and loader, below it is a hammer like device which springs back when the weapon is fired. The forward part of the weapon contains the Type-51 Carbine's barrel which itself is well insulated to protect the shooter from the harmful radiation released from the round. The weapon also is capable of 2X magnification. Product Info: - Manufacturer: Covenant
- Model: Type-51
- Type: Carbine
Technical Specifications: - Size: Handheld, Two-Handed
- Magazine Size: 18 rounds
- Fire Mode: Semi-Automatic, Fully Automatic
- Ammunition: 8.7 x 60mm caseless radioactive projectiles
- Rate of Fire: semi-automatic only
- Range: 2,000 ft
Type-31 Rifle: The Type-31 Rifle fires unconventional, long and sharp projectiles similar to the Needler. The projectiles detonate several seconds after coming to rest in soft tissue. Unlike the Needler, however, the needles do not "home", or track on the enemy. They fire in a straight line at high velocities, similar to the M392 Designated Marksman Rifle. Rounds travel much faster than that of the Needler, leaving the Needle Rifle's only destructive similarity to the Needler being the individual/collected needle explosion. The Needle Rifle also seems similar in appearance and functionality to the Covenant Carbine, and also bears a barrel similar to that of the Beam Rifle. Product Info: - Manufacturer: Covenant
- Model: Type-31
- Type: Rifle
Technical Specifications: - Size: Handheld, Two-Handed
- Magazine Size: 21 rounds
- Fire Mode: Semi-Automatic
- Ammunition: Crystalline Explosive Projectiles

Sniper Rifles: Type-50 Sniper Rifle System: A Particle Beam Rifle is a battery-powered directed-energy weapon that fires ionized particles at its targets, instead of accelerating small projectiles. The weapon is nearly silent, negligible muzzle signature, weighs considerably less than its UNSC analog and inflicts wounds akin to the 14.5mm SRS 99 AM — and is considered by all assessments to be a force multiplication. The use of Particle Acceleration offers two distinct advantages, the first is its damaging properties over the UNSC's sniper rifles, as the ionized particles can pass through material easily, making it effective against targets behind cover. The Type-50 SRS also excels at target penetration, maximizing its lethality, as the beam will always pass through a target completely. Although the size of the wounds inflicted on a target are small, the damage done is similar to most directed energy weapons used by the Covenant. Product Info: - Manufacturer: Covenant
- Model: Type-50 Sniper Rifle System
- Type: Sniper Rifle
Technical Specifications: - Size: Handheld, Two Handed
- Length: 160.4 cm
- Magazine Size: 100 Battery units (10 shots)
- Fire Mode: Semi-Automatic
- Ammunition Type: Accelerated Particles
- Rate of Fire: Semi-automatic only
- Range: 4900 ft
Type-52 Special Applications Rifle: The Type-52 Special Applications Rifle (or T52 SAR), more commonly known as the Focus rifle is a Directed Energy Weapon used by the Covenant Empire. So far, it has only been used by the Covenant during the Battle of Reach in August 2552.The Focus Rifle is a Covenant sniper-style weapon, that, despite its visual similarities to the Type-50 Sniper Rifle System, functions quite differently to its counterpart. It fires a continuous yellow-tinted beam, similar in operation to a Sentinel Beam. The weapon is believed to be battery-powered, though the exact mechanism by which it functions is currently under investigation by the UNSC.The laser will take approximately 1.5 seconds to kill a fully shielded Spartan, and is designed to emphasize more of a "tracking" skill set than other weapons because this weapon, being a sniper variant, does not feature any aim assist to compensate for its power. It is designed for ranged suppression rather than instant death, and is considered a power weapon. Its appearance and reticle is very similar to that of the Beam Rifle, with a 5-10x magnification scope. Unlike its counterpart, it sports a thermal-imaging screen on the top, much like the UNSC Sniper Rifle, but it just appears to be purely cosmetic, as it has very little use in gameplay. Product Info: - Manufacturer: Covenant
- Model: Type-52
- Type: Special Applications Rifle
Technical Specifications: - Size: Handheld, Two Handed
- Magazine Size: 100 Battery units
- Fire Mode: Continuous
- Ammunition Type: Accelerated Particles

Directed Explosive Weapons: Type-50 Directed Energy Rifle/Heavy: The T50 DER/H fires explosive bolts of superheated plasma. When the plasma bolt hits a surface, it produces area-of-effect damage and a small "kick" to its users and objects. This kick is strong enough to knock away those under the effect of Armor Lock, disabling the armor ability for a few seconds. The plasma projectiles also have a great downward arc to its shots, much like the fuel rod cannonThe weapon has been described as the Covenant counterpart to the M319 Individual Grenade Launcher. In general, the Concussion Rifle resembles the Brute Shot, but has a different mode of operation: instead of firing a straight, linear-path projectile like a Brute Shot, the Concussion Rifle fires a plasma projectile that arcs due to gravity. Product Info: - Manufacturer: Covenant
- Model: Type-50 Directed Energy Rifle/Heavy
- Type: Directed energy weapon
Technical Specifications: - Size: Two handed.
- Magazine Size: 6 shots
- Fire Mode: Semi-Automatic
- Ammunition: Plasma
- Rate of Fire: Semi-Automatic
- Range: Short to Medium Range
Type-33 Light Anti-Armor Weapon: The Fuel Rod Gun is a man-portable version of the Covenant fuel rod cannon that is mounted on Covenant vehicles - it is a support weapon that is commonly employed in both anti-personnel and anti-vehicle roles. It appears to be recoil-operated - and fires 3.8cm explosive ballistic incendiary gel projectiles, that travel to the target in a parabolic arc. The design of the fuel rod gun is very unique, more akin to large ornament than deadly weapon; the barrel of the weapon is long and black covered by thick gold plates that make up the body of the weapon; the ammunition is loaded on the top aft section of the fuel rod gun, and can hold 5 ballistic projectiles, which seem to be held together by straps, before needing to be reloaded. When the large "trigger" is pulled the weapon ejects the projectile at high speeds. It can be assumed that the instant the projectile leaves the barrel of the weapon, the large flash associated with firing the fuel rod gun destroys the caps that are on each end of the fuel rod projectile. The rods are equipped with an activation delay that protects the wielder from explosions caused by carelessly firing fuel rods into nearby objects, however a fuel rod will detonate if they are fired into enemies at point-blank range. - Manufacturer: Covenant
- Model: Type-33 Light Anti-Armor Weapon
- Type: Directed ezplosive weapon
Technical Specifications: - Size: Shoulder-fired.
- Magazine Size: 5 Rounds
- Fire Mode: Semi-Automatic
- Ammunition: 38mm radioactive explosive ballistic projectiles
- Rate of Fire: Average (2 rounds per second)
- Range: 540 ft
Type-52 Guided Munitions Launcher/Explosive: The weapon is capable of launching up to four large explosive plasma grenade-like bolts at a single target, these can be fired individually or all at once if charged for a short time. A plasma launcher with full battery is, in total, capable of firing up to twelve bolts, regardless of whether fired individualy or in bursts. The bolts track vehicles and infantry in a similar way to the Needler, although slightly differently- a red circle will appear around a target to indicate the Launcher is "locked on". Note also that the Plasma Launcher has a 2.5x Zoom capability, better than the Human Rocket Launcher in fact, and when zoomed in, enables the user to lock onto targets from farther away than unzoomed. These bolts will continue to track even if the operator is killed or if the bolt is redirected by a gravity hammer. They will also stick to the target on impact, like plasma grenades. - Manufacturer: Covenant
- Model: Type-52 Guided Munitions Launcher/Explosive
- Type: Plasma-Based Explosive Launcher.
Technical Specifications: - Size: Handheld, two handed
- Magazine Size: 12 Rounds
- Fire Mode: 1 to 4-bolt burst
- Ammunition: Plasma balls. (similar to plasma grenades)
- Rate of Fire: Moderate to Fast
- Range: Short to Long range.

Support Weapons: Type-52 Directed Energy Support Weapon: Used as a heavy support weapon in ground based combat, it provides a rapid-fire stream of powerful plasma rounds to suppress enemy movements and offensive actions. The cannon is basically a mobile support weapon and as such offers no protection for the operator, which is usually a Heavy Grunt. The gunner is completely exposed to enemy fire, so a well-covered emplacement position is desirable for prolonged use, especially if under fire. This separates it from the Shade and Shielded Plasma Cannon, as both of these offer some measure of protection for their operator but are, however, not man-portable. It is carried and operated in a similar fashion to the M247 GPMG made by the UNSC, with the obvious difference that the M247's round hit almost instantly the plasma canon as with all plasma weapons has a slower moving plasma bolt. It has an approximate sixty-five degree turn radius and fifty degree pitch. It fires plasma bolts similar to those of the Covenant Plasma Rifle, and fires around three hundred rounds per minute. A battery or plasma core is built into the tripod which allows the gun to fire indefinitely. When removed from the tripods power supply, the gun can only use the two hundred units of power (equal to two hundred shots) that the gun itself contains. Product Info: - Manufacturer: Covenant Empire
- Model: Type-52 Directed Energy Support Weapon
- Type: Portable Plasma Turret
Technical Specifications: - Size: Turret/Support Weapon
- Magazine Size: 200 shot charge (when dismounted, but unlimited when mounted)
- Fire Mode: Fully Automatic
- Ammunition Type: Superheated Plasma
- Range: Medium to Medium-Long Range
Assault cannon: The Assault Cannon is a variant of the standard Fuel Rod Gun utilized only by the Mgalekgolo. It has two variants, one of which is all but identical to the normal weapon, the other of which is closer to the vehicle variant and fires a continuous beam. The weapon is incredibly heavy, making it suitable only for the Hunters, as no other races could carry such a massive load, showing the immense strength of the Hunter. The only known instances of it are fused directly to the Hunter's armor, located on the right "arm" of the colony, built into the Lekgolo that make up that limb. The weapon uses tubes of radioactive incendiary gel, very similar to those fired by the standard fuel rod gun, as ammunition. The gel can be fired in globs, which detonate on impact and have an arcing trajectory. The weapon can also fire the gel in a "beam". The weapon itself can switch between these two modes by the Mgalekgolo using it. However, before firing, the weapon must be charged up. This "charge" makes it very obvious that the Hunter is attempting to shoot an enemy, and it also makes it fairly easy for to dodge the cannon's blast. - Manufacturer: Covenant Empire
- Model: Mgalekgolo Assault Cannon
- Type: Anti-Matériel/Personnel weapon
Technical Specifications: - Size: It takes up half the right arm of the Mgalekgolo.
- Fire Mode: Individual bolts or continuous stream
- Ammunition Type: Incendiary gel
- Range: Long

Explosive Devices: Antimatter charge: The Antimatter Charge is a Covenant weapon utilizing antimatter as an explosive. Sizes and uses varied, with some being a counterpart to the UNSC's tactical nuclear weapons. There is a smaller grenade like variant used by Covenant troops. The charge's appearance is that of a long bulbous shape with many spikes protruding from it. It has a central control hub located at the top of the bomb. It utilizes the annihilation of matter and antimatter to create an massive explosive. Nearly one hundred percent of the energy in the matter is released in a massive explosion, in contrast to the mere seven percent released by a UNSC nuclear fusion warhead. Covenant charge: The Covenant Charge is a small explosive used by the Covenant on recon missions.Similar in purpose and function to charges used by Human militaries, these charges are able to adhere to a number of surfaces for an indefinite period of time until activated. A remote trigger is used to detonate the charge.
Type-1 Antipersonnel Grenade: The Type-1 Antipersonnel Grenade is a dangerous hand thrown weapon utilized by Covenant forces, typically used by Unggoy, Sangheili, and Jiralhanae soldiers. The Type-1 Plasma Grenade is a spherical explosive and is made of an unknown material, the grenade in terms of design is straight forward; the activation "switch" is located on the orange colored area of the grenade. Above the activation pad is a Forerunner glyph, the glyphs seen on the Plasma Grenade are known to change with each new model and is believed to be based upon the time of manufacturing and the Covenant religious rituals. Using technology that is barely understood, even by the Covenant, the Type-1 Plasma Grenade is employed as both a thrown anti-infantry and anti-vehicle weapon. When primed, the Type-1 plasma grenade emits a blue plasma gas;this emission is light so that the grenade does not stick to the person priming the grenade. When thrown, the plasma gas begins to intensify enough that if it comes into contact with a vehicle or infantry, the plasma will start to burn into the surface and adhere to it until detonation. The grenade contains some type of internal mechanism that allows it to distinguish between targets and background-it will stick to a soldier or active vehicle, but not to a tree or wall. Once something has been stuck with a grenade, their is no normal way to remove it.
Type-3 Antipersonnel Incendiary Grenade: It is a multi-purposed infantry explosives munition, and can be thrown 10 meters (32.8 feet) by the average soldier Upon impact with a hard surface, the casing converts to liquid form, burning at around 2200 °C (3992 °F), and causing significant damage to vehicles and infantry alike, automatically killing all nearby infantry in a 3.4 meter (8 foot) radius. The gel-like filler substance also escapes from the burning casing, splashing over nearby objects and causing significant damage as it burns for 4.5 seconds.
