Lucy stood watching from the garage entrance. Somewhere out there was an invasion force, she tried to pull up any communications with anyone while John alerted the rest of the outpost. Her efforts were in vain as nothing atall came of it. She noticed John signal her from one of the pelicans, jogging over she hopped into the cargo bay and made her way inside the cockpit. She climbed onto the co-pilot seat behind John and gained control of the Pelican's nose-mounted 70mm rotary cannon. She looked back into the troop bay as John took off, it was empty. Before she could protest Minerva, John's A.I, did it for her.
"We'll meet them at the colony. We have a pit stop to make."
"Pit stop?"
"Outpost Bravo."
"Well, we're out of communications so its a good plan. The others'll no doubt get to the city before us, we alert the reinforcements. This is a one man job, why did you need me to come along?" She switched from looking at the co-pilots console and her A.I quick tacpad, she couldn't help but wonder if Minerva and Sonya would get along, they hadn't met yet. Or... Had they? "Both the city and Bravo are a fair distance from here, if we want to get there before the skies start raining plasma, punch it John."

John hit a few commands, and put Minerva in charge of the pelican. It wouldn't do for him to fly the whole way there. He felt the pelican speed to what he assumed was its maximum velocity.
"Consider it punched. And I need you because it's a one man job to mobilize the base. Its not if we have to run a torch and burn op. I'm worried that if we got ambushed, Outpost Bravo may have already been knocked out. The sooner we get to Redoubt City, the safer we'll be."
He wasn't even entirely sure he believed that, but it had been what he had learned about the city. The city bunker was a fortress, but it was also a dead end. The odds of the covenant just giving up weren't very high, and even if they made their stand, numbers just weren't on their side. What they really needed to do was get evac transports filled and get all the soldiers and civyies star-side. That being said, he doubted they'd even made it off the planet without help.

Lucy peered out of the cockpit window as it sped across the planet, there was no sign of Covenant, but then again... When was there sign of Covenenant forces untill they were already glassing you? The telltale purples would've stood out against the bright blue sky of this world, with its permenant deep orange sunset. It was quite a beauty, it would be incredibly sad to see the Covenant glass another planet like this... Had they no care for natural beauty?
She remained silent for the journey, lost in deep thought about the plans they would need to get off this rock and alert the UNSC... It could take days for UNSC forces to come, unless there was a patrol nearby. Thats assuming they could even get off any communications. The Apollo couldn't have gotten that far away.
She moved back into life as the UNSC outpost crept into view, it wasn't exactly hard to miss being the only man-made structure for miles. She switched her view onto the gunners, scanning the outpost for any sight of hostiles.
"I seriously hope they havn't set up another EMP field around this outpost..."
