UNSC Controlled Planets: Planet Name: Earth Star System: Sol Major Satellite(s): Luna Length of Day: 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4 seconds Length of Year: 365.25 days Gravity: 1.0 G (9.8 m/s 2) Atmosphere: .9 atm (N2, O2) Sentient Inhabitant Species: Human Overlay:Earth is one of the four terrestrial planets in the Solar system and is the home planet of the Human race, as well as many other various life forms. It is the capital planet of the United Nations, the Unified Earth Government, and the United Nations Space Command. Earth was possibly the most populated planet of the Human space territories. For a significant amount of humanity's history, it was to them the only known place in the universe to support life. Since the Human-Covenant war and the destruction of Mombasa, reconstruction efforts had finally come to a close despite the large-scale destruction. A new orbital elevator has been constructed, and despite the war, life proceeds in a normal fashion on Earth.

Planet Name: Luna Star System: Sol Major Satellite(s): None, it is a satellite itself. Length of Day: N/A Length of Year: 365.25 days Atmosphere: 3 × 10^−15 atm (Ar, He) Sentient Inhabitant Species: Humans. Overlay:Luna, often referred to as the Moon, is the only natural satellite of Earth. Humans began settling Luna in 2080. Probably a result of Luna's low gravity and lack of atmosphere, the body has not been terraformed, the habitats on Luna instead are sealed from vacuum and interconnected by tubes. By 2492, the governing body of Luna was known as Luna Confederated States, the State of Mare Nubium being one of the said states. The Luna OCS Academy, also known as the Academy at Mare Nubium, was located here. During the Human-Covenant war little damage itself was directly done to Luna. However there were severe 'junk storms' as the various wreckages of Covenant and UNSC vessels collided with the surface, causing minor damage to the Human structures. Which have since been fixed.

Planet Name: Mars Star System: Sol Major Satellite(s): Phobos and Deimos Length of Day: 24.622 9 h Length of Year: 686.971 days Gravity: 0.376 G Atmosphere: .9 atm (N2, O2) (Terraformed to Earth specifications) Sentient Inhabitant Species: Humans. Overlay:Mars was one of the first worlds colonized by humanity settled in 2080. It has since been terraformed into a planet with near-Earth conditions, becoming home to many. Once again during the Covenant-Human war, Mars was the site of a large scale engagement called the Battle of Mare Erythraeum, set on the fields of Mare Erythraeum. There, Colonel James Ackerson and his UNSC Defense Forces combated against the Covenant Loyalist Army, commanded by Jiralhanae Chieftain Lepidus, a battle the UNSC also lost. Due to the UNSC loss, Mars was heavilly damaged, similarly to Earth., with its population reduced to mere thousands. However the surface of Mars has since been reclaimed by Humans, who are as present as ever on the surface. Although the ruins of cities still remain.

Planet Name: Circumstance Star System: Epsilon Eridani System Major Satellite(s): Mons. Length of Day: 32 hours, 56 minutes, 22 seconds. Length of Year: 546.4 days. Gravity: 1.004 G Atmosphere: .9 atm (N2, O2) (Terraformed to Earth like specifications) Sentient Inhabitant Species: Humans Overlay:Circumstance is a UNSC colony world in the Epsilon Eridani System, along with Tribute, Beta Gabriel, and Reach. Circumstance is famous for its universities and courts of justice. Circumstance was hit hard after Reach fell, the Covenant sweeping the system and glassing the Human colonies. More recently Humanity has reclaimed Circumstance and using terraforming technology has restored it to its pre-glassed state, with many Humans calling it home.

Planet Name: Tribute Star System: Epsilon Eridani System Major Satellite(s): Dero, Täby Length of Day: 45 hours, 12 minutes, 8 seconds. Length of Year: 756 days. Gravity: 1.202 G Atmosphere: .9 atm (N2, O2) (Terraformed to Earth specifications) Sentient Inhabitant Species: Humans. Overlay:Tribute was a UNSC Inner Colony world in the Epsilon Eridani System. Its largest populated urbanized metropolis was Casbah. It had a history of volcanic activity and appeared to be a cold world. After the Covenant discovered Reach, they also attacked the other colonies in the system, including Tribute. Corporal Taylor "Dutch" Miles was present during the evacuation of the colony, and witnessed the near-total destruction of the UNSC Navy escort fleet in orbit as they protected civilian refugees. This gave him a thorough respect for the Navy, unlike many Marines or other ODSTs. The colony was apparently under siege for some time. This is evidenced from Team Black's mission to destroy a Covenant Beacon that was mining Helium-3 to provide energy for the fleet blockading Tribute. The planet was glassed, and left barren, cold and volcanic. Recently Humanity has reclaimed the planet and terraformed it, although colonisation is still underway. Large cities are sprouting and forming throughout the warmer band of the planet, although frost is still common in the morning. The planet has fairly large polar ice caps.

Planet Name: Beta Gabriel Star System: Epsilon Eridani System Major Satellite(s): Reims Length of Day: 21 hours, 3 minutes, 47 seconds. Length of Year: 345.01 days. Gravity: 0.87 G Atmosphere: .9 atm (N2, O2) (Terraformed to Earth like specifications) Sentient Inhabitant Species: Humans. Overlay:The planet was sparsely populated, with a total population of barely five hundred, none of whom were official colonists; rather, the planet was made into a little-known "outdoors getaway" by human entrepreneurs, supporting little infrastructure beyond a few supply shops, a basic landing port, a few rustic cabins, and a community lodge, where wealthy people could hunt, hike, go on "spirit quests", and other activities. The planet's sparse population made it an easy target for a Jiralhanae pack with the ship Valorous Salvation when the Covenant attacked the planets in the Epsilon Eridani system, fleeing from a defeat at Reach. Ostensibly, Chieftain Parabum had his pack occupy the planet so that they could make sport of the captured humans, as well as their own Unggoy crew, hunting and eating them for entertainment. It was also noted that though the UNSC had estimated there were only five hundred people on the planet, the amount of carnage suggested there had been many more. Eventually, a UNSC Marine strike force wiped out the remnants of the Jiralhanae, though they were too late to save the humans. Beta Gabriel wasn't glassed, so it proved a usefull position to terraform and colonise the other planets. The planet was quickly terraformed, and a population boom led to many cities forming to gather the hidden resources of the planet to aid colonisation of the system. The planet still remains a resource hub in the system, supporting the military constructions of Reach and the colonisation of Tribute.

Planet Name: Chi Rho Star System: Ectanus 45 Major Satellite(s): Patras Length of Day: 34 hours, 17 minutes, 6 seconds. Length of Year: 456 days. Gravity: 1.103 G Atmosphere: .9 atm (N2, O2) (Terraformed to Earth like specifications) Sentient Inhabitant Species: Humans Overlay: Chi Rho is a UNSC colony world in the Ectanus 45 system that was said to separate the Inner Colonies from the Outer Colonies. In 2535, during the Human-Covenant War, following the loss of most of the Outer Colonies, refugees had started flooding the planet and all available space was being used for victory gardens and refugee camps. Vice Admiral Jean Mawikizi resolved to make a stand against the Covenant on Chi Rho, digging in deep within the planet's crust to survive a glassing attack, forcing the Covenant to come down and flush them out man-to-man. Due to the brave actions of Jean Mawikizi the population of Chi Rho survived the Human-Covenant war. The planet itself was largely glassed, but the population survived under the surface, locked away and bunkered down. The Covenant threw many legions at the system of bunkers, but it never suceeded in winning the fight.

Planet Name: Reach Star System: Epsilon Eridani System Major Satellite(s): Csodaszarvas, Turul Length of Day: 27 hours Length of Year: 390 days Gravity: 1.08 G Atmosphere: .9 atm (N2, O2) (Terraformed to Earth specifications) Sentient Inhabitant Species: Humans Overlay: Reach was a human colony world in the Epsilon Eridani System, located within the Inner Colonies. At 10.5 light years from the Sol System, it is located at Earth's metaphorical doorstep. Reach is the fourth largest planet in the Epsilon Eridani system, and second closest to the star Epsilon Eridani. For a young planet with an age of no more than one billion years, compared to the 4.6 billion years of Earth, Reach is remarkably geologically stable.Reach is larger than Earth, having a diameter of 15,273 kilometers, compared to the 12,756 kilometers diameter of Earth.Reach was originally inhospitable for human life, requiring some degree of terraforming before it could be colonized. Mostly a rugged and harsh wilderness filled with towering mountains, deserts and weather-beaten forests, Reach's surface is pockmarked with meteor impact craters, some of these forming large seas.It is also located near a small nebula, which has a visible effect on the planet and its moons, casting an "aura" similar to the Aurora Borealis. After the Fall of Reach, most of the planet's surface was glassed. W hen UNSC forces finally abandoned the planet, a small Covenant occupation fleet remained in the system. The battle was a disaster for the numerically-inferior UNSC fleet, despite the Super MAC Guns, resulting in the planet's destruction by means of plasma bombardment. CASTLE base was destroyed after the planet's fall and the Covenant began searching for a Forerunner crystal. UNSC forces finally abandoned the planet during the Raid of Reach, a few days later. By 2589, Reach had been terraformed with the full aid of Covenant Seperatists as a sign of friendship between the two factions and it was restored to a habitable state, and new human colonists were re-settling the planet. The planet has now reached a point similar to how it was before the Covenan-Human war, it has kept its status as the most powerful UNSC military production base.

Planet Name: Europa Star System: Sol. Major Satellite(s): None, Europa is a satellite. Length of Day: None, Europa is a Synchronus Satellite. Length of Year: 11.85920 years. Gravity: 0.134 G Atmosphere: .9 atm (N2, O2) (Terraformed to Earth specifications) Sentient Inhabitant Species: Humans Overlay:The fourth largest, yet was the first fully terraformed Jovian moon. It features a frosty atmosphere. Although scientists had theorized that it might already contain oceans beneath the surface with amino acids and the building blocks of life, the first colonists found that this was not the case. Colonization occurred without the discovery of any new life forms. The SPARTAN-II supersoldiers had a mission on Europa some time before 2552. Unlike the other Jovian Moons who recieved Seraph strikes to their military structures and cities, Europa was left unscathed when the Covenant attacked the Sol System, as it had little military value to the UNSC. The planet is still much like it was before the Covenant-Human war, the population has risen significantly however.

Planet Name: Io Star System: Sol Major Satellite(s): None, Io is a satellite. Length of Day: None, Io is a Synchronus Satellite Length of Year: 11.85920 years. Gravity: 0.183 G Atmosphere: .9 atm (N2, O2) (Terraformed to Earth specifications) Although terraformed, the atmosphere is subject to rapid changes, with many natural disasters happening frequently. Sentient Inhabitant Species: Humans. Overlay:The third largest Jovian moon. This is where the Frieden first attacked the United Nations. Despite being massively volcanic and atmospherically volatile, Io supports a large colony of Humans. The fleet of the High Prophet of Regret passed near Io where they were detected by Io Station, just minutes before the Battle of Earth, allowing UNSC forces to muster a timely response. During the Covenant-Human war the Jovian moons were heavilly damaged, not glassed as the Covenant forces didn't have the forces to glass Earth and Mars, instead they just bombarded the planets with Seraph fighters and disabled the military capabilites on the planet, expecting that once Earth had been dealt with, they could always just come back. Luckilly for the colonists they didn't come back, and the populations of the Jovian Moons helped repopulate the rest of the Sol system. Io has since been resettled, although its volatile atmosphere isn't capable of supporting a large population like the larger Jovian moons.

Planet Name: Ganymede Star System: Sol Major Satellite(s): None, Ganymede is a satellite. Length of Day: None, Ganymede is a Synchronus satellite. Length of Year: 11.85920 years. Gravity: 0.146 G Atmosphere: .9 atm (N2, O2) (Terraformed to Earth specifications) Sentient Inhabitant Species: Humans Overlay:Ganymede is a UNSC-controlled natural satellite and is the largest moon of Jupiter in the Sol system. It was partially terraformed though it supposedly retains a harsh climate. Ganymede is home to a significant human population of largely British descent. The country Aigburth is located on Ganymede, as well as the Low/Zero Gravity Testing Facility, the developer of the EVA Armor. Subsequently, the EVA Armor was created and tested at Ganymede at Lister, Aigburth. Ganymede has since become the research and learning center of Sol.

Planet Name: Callisto Star System: Sol Major Satellite(s): None, Callisto is a satellite. Length of Day: None, Callisto is a Synchronus Satellite. Length of Year: 11.85920 years. Gravity: 0.126 G Atmosphere: .9 atm (N2, O2) (Terraformed to Earth specifications) Sentient Inhabitant Species: Humans Overlay:Callisto is the second largest Jovian Moon. In 2170 it was the site of the signing of the Callisto Treaty which officially ended the Interplanetary War. With little civilian population to speak of, Callisto's purpose is primarily militaristic in nature; the moon's several bases are capable of launching their units and ships within an hour's notice. Because Callisto had the largest military bases of the Jovian Moons, it recieved special treatment from the covenant because aswell as seraph strikes a small covenant force was sent to glass the bases. The covenant succeeded in reducing the military presence to rubble. Humanity has since reclaimed it, although fully terraformed the population hasn't has a significant boom, although it does have a prominent Human population.

Planet Name: Skopje Star System: Sirius Major Satellite(s): Bitola Length of Day: 21 hours, 8 minutes, 1 second. Length of Year: 223 days. Gravity: 0.953 G Atmosphere: .9 atm (N2, O2) (Terraformed to Earth specifications) Sentient Inhabitant Species: Humans Overlay:The planet had highly developed urban areas, roads, and railways sprawled across island continents. It was also home to the headquarters of a shipbuilding corporation. Orbital Drop Shock Troopers were called in to defend the headquarters during the evacuation of their shipyards, under the justification that the machines, tools, and personnel that could be saved would be relocated to Reach to continue building parts for the war effort. A wealthy CEO built a castle in the colony, which would later prove valuable during the battle. The Covenant fully glassed Skopje, but with the fresh technology given by the Covenant Seperatists as a sign of frendship, Skopje was terraformed back to Human specifications, and the ecosystem slowly repaired itself.Skopje is now a bastion of Humanity, holding a large population in many large freshly built Urban centers.

Planet Name: Harvest Star System: Epsilon Indi Major Satellite(s): Tiara Length of Day: 18 hours, 0 minutes, 48 seconds. Length of Year: 128 days. Gravity: 0.55 G Atmosphere: .9 atm (N2, O2) (Terraformed to Earth specifications) Sentient Inhabitant Species: Humans.(majority). Sangheili, Unggoy, Mgalekgolo and Huragok minorities as Seperatist Legions are positioned on the frontier-world. Overlay:Harvest was a UEG Agriculture World. The colony was the seventeenth to be settled, and the most remote at the time of its founding. It was founded in 2468 by the UNSC Skidbladnir. Located in the Epsilon Indi System, the planet had the unfortunate distinction of being the first human planet discovered and destroyed by the Covenant. After disastrous First Contact, the planet was subsequently glassed by the Covenant during the First Battle of Harvest, but most of its population managed to escape in freighters. The discovery of Humans on Harvest was the catalyst for the attempted Covenant genocide of the Human race, due to a mistranslation of Forerunner glyphs by the Prophets, as seen on many writs and machines amid Covenant technologies. The planet was heavily glassed, the ecosystem nearly dying as the planet was reduced to a frozen tundra. However with recent terraforming tools given to them by the Covenant Seperatists, Harvest has since recovered with help of imported and preserved species being placed on the fertile planet. The population has significantly grown, and Harvest has returned to its Agriculture Colony status, however as it lies on the literal border between UNSC and Covenant Loyalist space, there is a sizable military force present, including multiple legions of Covenant Seperatists and their accompanying vessels.
